Hampton Academy is a private school for students with disabilities approved by the New Jersey Department of Education serving grades one through twelve. It is our mission to provide services and support that help our students realize their full potential within our setting, and build a foundation for success when moving on to higher education, vocational programs or a return to the school district. Intensive clinical support is intertwined with our academic program, helping students to overcome the social, emotional and behavioral difficulties that may impede academic achievement.
We are looking for an energetic full-time High School Math Teacher (Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2 and Consumer Math) to provide instruction to classified pupils in accordance with each pupil's Individualized Education Plan in the primary care classroom. This role requires the instruction of students using a variety of teaching materials and strategies to meet individual students' needs and learning styles as reflected in IEPs. Planning curriculum and preparing lessons and other materials considering factors such as individual needs, abilities, learning styles, physical limitations and emotional needs are needed. Additionally, the ability to confer with other staff to create prevention, intervention, and resolution strategies for decreasing inappropriate behavior and reinforcing appropriate behavior is required.
