Demonstrated fluency with Spanish language.
Bachelor’s degree and teaching experience with elementary school aged students
Willingness to help students develop language skills in both informal and formal settings
Adept at collaborating to create cross-cultural connections within an existing curriculum
Ability to incorporate dance, play, and movement. Experience with TPR (Total Physical Response) and TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling) a plus.
Develop Spanish curriculum for students in grades K-3, including heritage speakers K-8.
Provide students with opportunities to learn the Spanish language and culture of Spanish-speaking countries by participating in interactions that prepare them for real-world language use and global citizenship
Collaborate with grade-level teams and World Languages teachers to design and implement curriculum informed by Universal Design for Learning practices and techniques
