Lincoln School, founded in 1884, is an independent K-12 Quaker girls’ school in Providence, Rhode Island. We are currently seeking a full-time Middle and Upper School Math Teacher for the 2019–20 school year.
The position entails teaching mathematics classes in both our Middle and Upper Schools. The successful candidate will be an active member of the Mathematics Department, bringing a strong commitment to Lincoln's evolving STEAM program. They will have experience with and a dedication to student-centered teaching and differentiated instruction. The preferred candidate will value mathematical reasoning, discovery through exploration, and real-world applications of complex ideas. A growth mindset and belief that all students can achieve success in mathematics by celebrating risk-taking and creating a safe space for making mistakes are essential.
Qualities of a top candidate include a sense of humor, enthusiasm to collaborate with colleagues, commitment to an all-girls environment, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a continuing interest in professional growth.
