The Berkeley Carroll School is seeking an Upper School Mandarin teacher to fill a full-time maternity leave position from approximately August 23, 2019 through November 30, 2019.
We are looking for someone who is eager to teach a wide variety of students in both introductory and intermediate courses, and who is willing to follow the curriculum set out by our full-time instructor, while also responding capably and responsibly to student needs and classroom challenges as they arise. The position involves four to six distinct Mandarin classes while teaching no more than 30 students.
Strong candidates will also have an interest in being an active member of our school community and in working with a team of language teachers.
