Doane Academy seeks an innovative, enthusiastic, collegial, upper school English teacher to join our faculty on a full-time basis. In addition to classroom teaching responsibilities, this position includes academic advising and the potential for overseeing extracurricular upper school activities.

Experience with and/or training in teaching upper school English courses, including AP, required.
Ability to teach multiple forms of literature from a range of genres and periods required.
Expertise with both middle and upper school students preferred, as it is likely that teaching responsibilities will include one middle school section.
Bachelors Degree in English or related field required.
Masters Degree in English or related field preferred.
Familiarity with, or experience, teaching in an independent school environment is a plus.
