Teach General Music classes to grades B-II, with emphasis on singing, movement, musical games and use of handheld and mallet percussion instruments
Co-direct weekly Lower School music assemblies as well as all-school festival assemblies
Write reports and meet with administrators to support the needs of students
Document curriculum using Curriculum Mapping software
Serve as a full community member by attending weekly faculty meetings and volunteering for coverage duties
B.A. in music and several years’ prior teaching experience with this age group preferred
Strong vocal and piano skills
Knowledge of age-appropriate General Music pedagogy
Additional Salary Information: Salary for faculty is determined according to a step scale based on experience.
