Faculty in the Upper School English Department teach across all four grade levels of English. While curriculum is in place, faculty are encouraged -- and expected -- to propose new ideas and enthusiastically collaborate with peers in the department as we continually embrace current pedagogy and expand our multicultural offerings. Developing students’ skills as critical thinkers, analytical and creative writers, positive contributors and collaborators is central to this position. Our faculty are committed to strengthening the writing skills of Bancroft students and work consistently to inspire and support the writing process for each student.
