The Middle School World Languages Department is currently seeking candidates for a part-time Mandarin Chinese teaching position for the 2019-2020 school year. Our ideal candidate is a relational and passionate language teacher with several years of experience in teaching both middle-school and high-school students. This position requires native or advanced-level proficiency in Mandarin Chinese. The candidate must be fluent in English. Primary duties would involve teaching in the Middle School, with the potential of adding Upper School and advanced level classes in the future.
The ideal candidate works well in both departmental and grade-level teams, relates well to students, parents, and colleagues, and has a growth mindset. Additional subject-area teaching expertise is of interest, and experience working with standards-based grading would be helpful, but not required.
A Bachelor’s degree is requisite, and a Master’s degree is preferred.
