Biology Teacher - Bishop O’Connell High School is accepting resumes for biology teachers for the 2019 - 2020 school year. Candidates should be qualified and prepared to teach courses at both the college prep and advanced levels. The ideal candidate would have the ability to teach classes in more than one scientific area. Applicants should have a degree in biology or a related field. Teaching experience and/or education coursework is preferred. The department emphasizes laboratory work and technology use to enhance student engagement with the science curriculum.
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates should work well as part of a faculty team that actively engages students in their faith formation, academic instruction, and the development of the whole person. Once hired, the school expects faculty members to stay current with professional development activities, as well as to participate in the school’s in-services, retreats, and other events promoting the education and formation of young adults.
