Advertised Summary Job Description: Reporting directly to the Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs, the Director of Faculty Recruitment is accountable for delivering the faculty talent needed to provide high quality instruction across SPS's interdisciplinary master's degree programs, certificate programs, and non-degree programs. In order to attract top scholars and practitioners, key aspects of this position include the identification of experts in relevant fields, the development of program-specific and school-wide talent attraction and sourcing strategies, development and oversight of CRM/systems management as it relates to recruitment, and relationship management with prospective hires in order to develop a robust pipeline of fully qualified talent. As a member of the Faculty Affairs team, this incumbent will work closely with the School's Leadership Team, Academic Directors, as well as with cross-departmental colleagues in instructional design, alumni affairs, marketing, and other key stakeholders to identify, source, and recruit top talent for the School.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (100%):
Faculty Talent Acquisition (60%): - Manage recruitment process for high-volume, part-time faculty searches in advance of each semester (fall, spring, summer) through sourcing, screening, and interview management. - Work closely with academic directors to determine hiring needs in a fast-paced, enrollment-driven environment. - Oversee scheduling search committee meetings for multiple full-time faculty searches throughout the academic year. - Assist with monitoring of search procedures regarding University search guidelines and assist search chairs to prepare/disseminate materials; schedule and coordinate candidate visits/agendas, including itinerary and travel planning; provide status updates as needed, and draft search committee reports. - Establish and monitor meaningful metrics to measure and track hiring trends. - Work closely with Associate Director, Faculty Affairs to assist with recruitment lifecycle for full-time faculty searches. - Serve as one of the affirmative action officers to ensure diversity of candidates and finalists. - Establish and monitor meaningful metrics to drive faculty recruiting success.
Sourcing/Advertisement Strategy (15%): - Develop robust recruitment strategies to attract and hire top-level scholars and practitioners that support strategic hiring goals through multi-media advertising, social media, referral generation, and networking. - Partner with SPS Marketing to establish a social media communication strategy for different jobs as necessary. - Work closely with Academic Directors to draft job postings as it relates to their needs. - Leverage analytics and best practices to build successful recruiting strategies and reports.
Relationship Management/Pipeline (15%): - Build and maintain candidate relationships with industry experts, corporate leaders, potential partners, and prospective candidates to create a robust faculty talent pipeline for future semesters. - Partner with Alumni Affairs and other stakeholders to establish and build pipeline of alumni into the recruitment lifecycle. - Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholder both within SPS and with the University at large. - Develop metrics to measure and track pipeline.
Other (10%): - Attend trainings and conferences to stay current on market trends to ensure recruiting efforts support strategic planning efforts. - Participate in related programs and process improvement projects as needed. - Other duties as assigned.
General Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. 5 -7 years related experience
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: - 5+ years of employee recruitment/talent acquisition experience required. - Demonstrated ability to work effectively under time pressure. Must be comfortable working in entrepreneurial environment. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve and develop creative solutions. - Experience managing and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. - Strong leadership and negotiation skills necessary. - Strong organization, communication, and presentation skills essential. - Must be able to maintain discretion and professionalism while dealing with highly confidential information. - Experience with the Office suite of programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Outlook) required.
Preferred Qualifications: - Strong preference given to those with experience recruiting in the financial and/or business sectors. University recruiting experience preferred, but not required. - Marketing experience as it relates to data-driven recruitment highly desired. - Education experience in areas related to business, management, human resources, or equivalent. - Master's degree in relevant field preferred
