The Boys’ Latin School of Maryland, an independent K-12 boys’ school, seeks a full time upper school English teacher beginning in August 2019. The successful candidate will teach up to and including Advanced Placement level, serve as an academic advisor to a group of upper school students, and be actively involved in all facets of school life, including coaching and/or leading co-curricular activities.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in English, at least three years of experience teaching English and writing, and experience working with student publications. A master’s degree in a related field is desired. The candidate should understand pedagogical techniques most beneficial to adolescent boys, embrace best practices for instructional technologies, and exhibit an interest in working with students of diverse backgrounds.
