The Sequoia Union High School District is seeking a dynamic educational leader to serve as principal of the District’s new specialized high school in Menlo Park, California, which will focus on design and engineering. The high school will open in August 2019 with a freshman class of 100 students and ultimately enroll 400 pupils in a 9-12 grade configuration.
Then new school will have a linked learning, project based learning emphasis and will include a partnership with the San Mateo County Community College District. A new 45,000 square foot, state-of-the art campus is being constructed to house the new school in an area near Facebook and other technology companies in the heart of the Silicon Valley.
The new principal will participate in all aspects of launching the school, including hiring, public relations, and overseeing the curriculum development.
The position begins July 1st (or earlier by mutual agreement).
Additional Salary Information: Plus $1,368 stipend for Master and Doctorate

The District is currently constructing the Technology, Innovation, Design, and Engineering (TIDE) Academy, a state of the art school facility, adjacent to the Facebook headquarters in East Menlo Park, CA. The school, featuring innovative curriculum and project-based CTE instruction, has won two design awards and will open with its inaugural class of 100 ninth graders in August of 2019.
There are two independent charter schools that operate within the District boundaries: Everest Public High School and Summit Preparatory Charter High School.
