Parker School seeks a full-time English Teacher to instruct middle and upper school students in a college-preparatory environment. Qualifications for this position include a bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred) with prior experience teaching English. Additional competencies desirable in candidates are skills and/or experience in the following areas: coaching competitive debate, coordinating service learning, journalism and online publication.
As a faculty member, she/he will teach, communicate with students, families and colleagues, fulfill faculty duties, and participate in extracurricular activities.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: willingness and ability to learn, participate, and be active in a private school community; strong problem solving, decision making, critical thinking, and teamwork skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills; self motivated with high work standards and attention to detail.
