Dedham Country Day School (DCD) seeks a well-qualified full-time Campaign Director reporting to the Director of Advancement, who will help shape and carry out a fundraising plan in support of campaign funding priorities, overseeing the necessary systems and practices that will support this initiative, and ensure synergy between campaign and annual fundraising programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and implement the various elements of a capital campaign, in collaboration with the Director of Advancement, Head of School, and campaign leadership
Establish campaign goals and metrics, analyze fundraising data to monitor project success, and recommend revisions to the fundraising plan, as needed, to meet goals.
Serve as project manager of the campaign feasibility study
Build and manage a portfolio of donors and manage stewardship strategies that maximize and recognize donors’ philanthropic support of DCD
Run a wide range of campaign reports to evaluate progress towards goals, track pledges, payments, and invoicing for the Board, Campaign Steering Committee, School leadership, and others as needed
Design and implement targeted Campaign events
Manage the campaign prospect list as well as manage and support the Campaign Steering Committee
Oversee campaign communications
Develop and manage campaign fundraising budget and calendar in concert with Director of Advancement
Lead research efforts on campaign donors to create comprehensive profiles and briefing memos
Strong candidates will have:
A minimum of 5 years experience that includes professional fundraising
Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask; strong organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, be highly analytical with proven success at project management, a high level of flexibility, and a great sense of humor.
A track record of success in a major gift or capital campaign environment is necessary, along with demonstrated ability to develop and implement 5-, 6-, and 7-figure gift strategies.
Experience collaborating with senior staff and volunteer leadership to advance a high-level philanthropy program, earning respect, and motivating others towards greater engagement.
Fluency with Raiser’s Edge or equivalent fundraising database software.
Demonstrated experience working successfully in a culturally diverse community, including diversity of race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, language and gender identity.
