St. Andrew’s School in Middletown, DE is seeking qualified applicants for a potential full time faculty position in mathematics beginning in the 2019-2020 school year. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative partner, who will bring previous teaching experience and develop a love of mathematics. St. Andrew’s is a co-ed, all-residential school of 300 students in grades 9–12. Our School has a deep commitment to financial aid and diversity in all its forms.
A typical teaching load consists of 3–4 sections of 12–15 students with 1–2 preps. The opportunity exists to teach all levels of mathematics from Algebra 1 through Multivariable Calculus. We teach math in a way that helps students to appreciate the process of mathematical discovery through a mix of collaboration and traditional teaching approaches and the use of technological tools such as Desmos, Geogebra and R. The ability to teach computer science and statistics is a plus.
