Demonstrate a strong interest in computer science education and promoting computer science education
Possess disciplinary acumen in foundational computer science concepts and skills including coding
Demonstrate a penchant for teaching early-childhood aged students and helping them to achieve their fullest potential
Develop methods to support students in small group settings, within the classroom and outside the classroom, and in one-on-one instruction
Serve as a resource for classroom teachers; provide teachers with an understanding of learning issues and aid them in the implementation of school-based accommodations
Collaborate with the Director of Academic Technology in order to develop plans to address individual learning styles and needs of students, and both plugged and unplugged computer science activities
Bachelor’s degree required.
At least three years of demonstrated experience in teaching preferred.
Coursework and or professional training in early childhood development and in methods to support students with a variety of learning modalities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Compatibility with the School’s values, culture, and current administration and faculty are a must.
