The Science Department at Darlington School seeks an experienced science teacher beginning with the 2019-2020 school year. This educator would join a dynamic environment of teaching professionals who are continuously growing and collaborating. The candidate must be open to learning from his/her colleagues and comfortable with collaboration. The candidate must also demonstrate fluency and extensive knowledge of important concepts in Chemistry and how they relate to other areas of school.
Teach five sections of high school level science with a focus on Chemistry.
Have a commitment to improving students’ critical thinking and logical reasoning skills.
Provide multiple methods of assessment that demonstrate knowledge, skill, and understanding.
Deliver clear instruction and differentiate according to diverse student needs.
Communicate effectively with students and parents.

Darlington seeks candidates who can contribute to the academic and extracurricular life of the school.
The ideal candidate will have Chemistry classroom teaching experience at the high school level and hold a bachelor’s degree in the subject area; a master’s degree is preferred.
