St. Ann Catholic School is seeking an energetic, exemplary, and passionate part-time music teacher who can lead a pre-k through eighth grade music program and desires to work in a supportive faith community. This teacher is responsible to plan, organize, and implement a challenging, engaging, and relevant curriculum in accordance with school and diocesan guidelines.
Provide for the spiritual, moral, physical, emotional, and intellectual development of the children
Promote the mission of St. Ann Catholic School
Teach General Music twice weekly to K-8 following Diocese guidelines.
Follow Diocesan Curriculum Guidelines for Music
Organize, direct and produce a Christmas Concert for the parents/school community
Provide music for Friday School Mass, usually weekly.
Organize and produce student performances at Christmas and in spring.
Knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, materials, and equipment of instructional specialty(ies) to which assigned
Be deeply committed to the development of the faith life of the students and dedicated to the ministry of the Catholic Education
Have a Bachelor's Degree in Music, Music Education, or related
Hold appropriate Alabama certification
Drama/Play Production experience a plus
Band/Orchestra experience a plus
