Independent, International Baccalaureate College Preparatory School is actively seeking highly qualified elementary Design and STEM Lab teacher candidates for the 2019-2020 school year to lead the Elementary school’s Design and Innovation Lab.
Successful candidates will have a record of successful curriculum development, instruction and integration of STEM and design-thinking principles, Maker Space education and lab design and operation, and experience in teaching digital literacy skills, programming, coding, 3-D design, and other 21st century Design Technology tools and applications for students in grades K-6.
Successful candidates will also coordinate and support lab use by elementary subject area teachers for interdisciplinary activities, as well as use by secondary school student clubs, technology teams and subject area teachers.

Expertise in 21st century teaching and learning trends
Experience developing and delivering STEM curriculum, including programming/coding and 3-D design.
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual needs and achieve high level outcomes for all students in an inclusive learning environment
Experienced in the incorporation of educational technology
Experienced incorporating STEAM topics as part of instructional delivery
A commitment to be an active participant in school and community life
A willingness and/or ability to serve as a homeroom teacher, sponsor student clubs, activities or organizations
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
A record as a strong collaborator and contributing team member
The ability to gather, analyze and use student achievement data to adapt curriculum and instruction
A proven record as an instructional coach or peer mentor in integrating STEM PPK-6.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
