Pomfret School, a co-ed, independent, college preparatory boarding and day school consisting of 355 students in grades 9 – PG, is seeking a part-time French teacher for the 2019-2020 school year.
Core responsibility for this part-time position is teaching two to three sections of French classes (various levels possible) in an interactive classroom environment. There might be possibilities for candidates, if qualified, to participate in other areas of school life, including coaching an afternoon sport/activity and/or participating in the School’s student life program, QUEST.

Successful applicants are dynamic individuals able to thrive in a fast-paced yet rewarding environment. Teaching positions report primarily to the Associate Head of School and requisite Academic Department Chair(s) while receiving responsibility-specific feedback from the leaders of the other programs served. Teaching positions are 10-month, full-time faculty positions, and will begin mid-August, 2019. As is our standard, all teaching positions at Pomfret School are one-year appointments to be reconsidered annually.

Preferred candidates will have teaching experience. Candidates deemed most qualified hold advanced degrees. School-provided housing not available for this position.
