Renbrook School, an independent day school for children age three to grade eight located in West Hartford, Connecticut, currently seeks a full-time math and science teacher for the middle school.
The successful candidate must be able to teach math (pre-algebra, algebra, and sixth grade math) and science (earth science, chemistry, and life science) to students in grades six, seven, and eight. Applicants must demonstrate a dedication to creating a strong classroom culture in an academically rigorous learning environment. The candidate should have experience with educational technology as well as a willingness to explore new and emerging educational theories. Experience teaching middle school is preferred.
Other major responsibilities include advising and homeroom supervision. Coaching experience is a plus. The review of candidates will begin immediately with a start date in late August 2019.
