The Biomedical Laboratory Diagnostics Program at Michigan State University invites applications for a position as an Academic Specialist in the Continuing System. The appointment will be an academic year, nine-month position. The individual will be responsible for laboratory course instruction in a NAACLS-accredited and non-accredited bachelor’s degree majors. Additional responsibilities will include advising, student affair activities, and professional activities. Opportunities for summer employment or clinical activities may be accommodated.
A Master’s Degree or Ph.D. or equivalent is required as well as clinical laboratory certification (e.g. ASCP, SCM, ABHI, AABB, etc.) and teaching experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate superb teaching skills and knowledge, good writing skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
