Riverstone International School is seeking an experienced Biology or Chemistry teacher to teach Diploma Programme (DP) Biology at the Higher and Standard levels, as well as to teach Gr 10 Middle Years Programme (MYP) Chemistry and to team-teach Grade 8 MYP Biology.
Demonstrated experience teaching in the Diploma Programme and able to participate in wilderness trips with students in Middle and High School is preferred.
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Biology or Chemistry
2+ years successful experience teaching Biology and/or Chemistry in an International
Creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching, inside and outside of the classroom
Excellent team player within science department and across disciplines
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Strong writing skills and ability to teach writing in the sciences
Ability to lead wilderness trips with students in remote locations
Preferred Skills and Experience
Diploma Programme teaching experience
Wilderness First Responder or Wilderness First Aid certification
State or international teaching certification
