AP Psychology and Biology Teacher
The Buckley School, Los Angeles’ oldest K-12 coeducational school, has an opening for an Upper School AP Psychology and Biology teacher beginning with the 2019-2020 school year. This teacher will be responsible for all aspects of teaching our curriculum and will be responsible for developing and maintaining curriculum maps. This individual will also be responsible for an advisory of 6-8 students and is expected to be a collaborative and engaged community member at Buckley, enthusiastically participating in the Science department and in the greater faculty. Such participation will include eagerly finding ways to collaborate with one’s peers, and engaging in professional development.
Bachelors degree in Psychology, Science or a related field
Experience teaching science at the upper school level specifically AP Psychology and Biology
Demonstrated competency in diversity, multiculturalism, inclusion and equity
Proficiency with current classroom technology as well as Microsoft Office
Exceptional writing, interpersonal and organizational skills
Preferred candidates will have
Masters degree and/or teaching credential
Research laboratory experience
Demonstrated leadership in diversity, multiculturalism, inclusion, equity and social justice.
