Ecole Bilingue Middle School, located in Berkeley, California, is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Math Teacher to join its academic team for the 2019-20 school year and beyond. The position is available late August 2019.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The Math teacher will:
Apply knowledge of best practices for math instruction to support curriculum development and delivery in a rigorous academic environment based on students' individualized strengths and needs.
Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment with clear expectations.
Generate a classroom culture that is engaging, student-focused and effectively managed.
Offer a whole-child education with a daily emphasis on children’s academic, social and emotional learning goals and benchmarks.
Effectively and consistently communicate, partner, and share with parents, colleagues, and students in support of each child’s learning and success.
Be a positive collaborator and a strong team player.
Participate in professional development, keep up with the latest research, and be open to new ideas and innovative learning.
Participate in school events and contribute to the school’s plan for growth.
Qualifications and desired personal qualities:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics or Education or related field
Experienced and passionate about teaching in a project-based, student-centered learning environment
Curriculum development experience (a plus)
Knowledgeable, collaborative, friendly, and flexible
Ability to offer academic rigor and mastery of subject matters through an integrated curriculum
Belief in the potential of each child
Ability to integrate social and emotional learning in students’ daily work in addition to developing a curriculum tailored toward different learning styles, talents, and needs
Love of continuous learning and advancement
Positive and consistent classroom management
Strong communication skills and rapport with students, colleagues, and parents

Compensation and Benefits:
