We are seeking a candidate who can teach a full complement of high school curriculum including AP calculus and linear algebra.
Full-time teachers are assigned various school duties, such as committee members. Work hours may change depending on schedule and circumstances. Normally full-time teachers are expected to be on campus 7:45 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Full-time teachers are expected to participate in official school events during the weekends as set out in the School Calendar or as the President requires, including occasional rostered contribution (not more than once a Quarter) to the Saturday or Sunday curriculum program. Full-time teachers are expected to assist with Study Hall 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. one evening a week in accordance with the Guide to Study Hall Supervision. Rosters for days and dates for Saturday/Sunday and Study Hall duties will be drawn up by the Vice President and published at least a Quarter in advance. Full-time teachers are expected to contribute to the Academic Extension (AE) program (3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.) one afternoon a week.
STARTING DATE: September 1, 2019 (preparation may starts from the late August)
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics is desired but candidates with a strong background in mathematics (i.e. physics, engineering) will be considered. We are seeking a candidate who can teach a full complement of high school curriculum including AP calculus and linear algebra. High school teaching experience and/or teaching certification is preferred but not required.
