St. James Cathedral School, located in downtown Orlando, Florida across from the historic Lake Eola Park, a grade PreK-8 co-ed school with an enrollment of 508 students, is seeking a principal to begin July 1, 2019. St. James Cathedral School is a vibrant school with optimal resources that serves the downtown professional community and families of the Cathedral in Orlando. The school has a rich history of 117 years of service to the Catholic families of central Florida. First known as St. Joseph’s Academy in 1889, the sisters of St. Joseph began the school with 30 students. St. James Cathedral School is accredited by the Florida Catholic Conference.
Candidate must be a strong Catholic leader with Catholic school teaching experience, administrative experience of at least three years in an elementary school setting and appropriate administrative credentials. Candidate must be Florida State certified in Educational Leadership or be eligible to become certified.
