Dwight School is seeking a self-directed and energetic educator to teach 10th grade physics and chemistry beginning in the September 2019.
Our science program is a successful component of our International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program at Dwight.
Classes take place in a newly renovated and well-stocked chemistry lab.
Instruction is supported by a great team of colleagues.
We work together as a team of science teachers to maintain the lab spaces and support student research projects.
Successful candidate must have the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or physics (required).
Master’s degree in a science or science education (strongly recommended).
A record of success teaching to a range of learners.
Experience with digital data-loggers, sensors, and other forms of educational technology (strongly recommended).
Experience with the International Baccalaureate, specifically the Middle Years Programme (recommended).
Experience with guiding and supporting student research projects across the range of sciences.
Strong communication skills and professionalism including schedule flexibility.
