Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Management of Instructional Time – maintain a high level of student time-on-task.
Management of Student Behavior – monitor the behavior of all students during instruction and non-instructional time; implement restorative justice practices to address breaches in school norms.
Instructional Presentation – use best practices to deliver quality lessons that engage students of all ability levels.
Instructional Monitoring of Student Performance – maintain clear and reasonable work standards to effectively monitor student mastery; maintain clear records to document student information and growth.
Instructional Feedback – provide prompt feedback to encourage student growth. Instructional Planning – maintain short and long term instructional plans compatible with Academy curricular goals.
Interaction within the Educational Environment – provide fair and equitable treatment for all students while maintaining student dignity; interact effectively with colleagues, parents and community.
Demonstration of Professional Growth – participate in the development of appropriately designed professional goals, engage in targeted instruction and conduct quality research.
Performance of Non-instructional Duties- adhere to laws, procedures and policies as set by federal, state and local agencies.
