The Board of Education of the Cairo-Durham Central School District is searching for an exceptional leader to serve as its next Superintendent of Schools. The district is located in beautiful Greene County west of the Hudson River and south of Albany with gorgeous views of the Catskills. The community is highly supportive of their schools and is a wonderful place to live.
The next superintendent is expected to be a passionate leader committed to the success of all students and with the ability to build a cohesive team who will be motivated by the new superintendent to achieve excellence. The board is seeking an out of the box thinker with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Candidates with a wishbone where their backbone ought to be need not apply. Additionally, the district is not interested in a leader who might view this as a “first” superintendency. They are hoping to find a superintendent looking to make a long term commitment.
If you are an energetic school leader of high integrity who is prepared for the challenges of the superintendency, Cairo-Durham is the place for you.
Candidates should send a compelling letter of interest, resume, and list of four references to Mike Ford, Director of Leadership Development at the University of Rochester at firstname.lastname@example.org
The deadline for applications is June 1, 2019.
Valid New York State certification as a School District Leader
