Renbrook School, an independent day school for children age 3 to Grade 8 located in West Hartford, Connecticut, seeks an experienced music teacher to fill a position in our Lower School. The teacher will work with students in preschool, junior kindergarten, and kindergarten.
Renbrook School seeks a skilled part-time music teacher to work with our youngest students in Preschool, Junior Kindergarten, and Kindergarten beginning August 2019. The successful candidate will have experience working with this age group as well as a strong background in First Steps in Music, the Kodaly method, or a similar teaching approach that prioritizes steady beat, tuneful singing, and musical play and exploration. He or she must be an excellent vocal model and should be able to play either guitar or piano.
This position will be six hours a week (two mornings per week, three hours each day). Teaching days will be Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Fridays depending on the candidate’s availability and other factors.
Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education required.
