The Montessori Academy of Colorado (MAC) is an urban school located in the heart of the beautiful, historic Curtis Park neighborhood near downtown Denver that serves students 8 weeks through Elementary-aged. We are currently accepting applications to fill a Lower Elementary teaching and coaching position
Unique to Denver, MAC Elementary blends the best of Montessori, place-based, and dual-language curriculums, providing students with a well-rounded, comprehensive educational experience that will benefit them for the rest of their academic careers. A bilingual co-teacher provides Spanish instruction and conversation in the classroom, as well.
Because of our urban location, our Elementary program is fortunate to use downtown Denver as its playground. The class enjoys several “going outs” a week, with a full-day excursion planned for one day each week. Destinations include the art museum, libraries, local parks, ice-skating, the Molly Brown House, and more. Enrichment programs such as yoga, music, woodworking, cooking, and art are also provided.
The ideal candidate for this position is a dynamic, friendly, innovative, energetic individual ready to dedicate himself or herself to a supportive working environment while aiding in the continued creation and development of our one-of-a-kind program. We are looking for a teacher with experience and acumen to coach a new Lower Elementary teacher.
