The Assistant Principal for Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment is directly responsible to the Principal and assists in the day-to-day operation of the school's academic program, the development and supervision of the faculty and the individual student's academic progress. The Assistant Principal will provide leadership and vision in the ongoing planning, implementation, development, direction, review and evaluation of the school's curriculum and instructional services, assessments and evaluations. In the absence of the Principal, the Assistant Principal is the administrator in charge. The Assistant Principal works closely with the Dean of Students, Guidance Department and Special Services Department. The Assistant Principal will be a practicing Catholic who is familiar with and an adherent of the gospel values and the structure of the school's mission.
Oversees, monitors and assesses the Pre-K through Grade 8 educational
Ensures the school's program objectives are aligned to Diocesan curriculum maps and 21st century instructional
Collaborates with PLC Team Leaders to maintain the highest standards of student achievement and instructional
Conduct formal and informal observations and evaluations of Pre-K through Grade 8 faculty including World Language and Technology
Conduct observations of any teacher placed on an improvement
Help coordinate teacher orientation programs and activities of new
Participate in the supervision process of beginning teachers through classroom observations and
Participate in the interview and selection process of the instructional staff as
Support all aspects of school instructional and curriculum integration of
Coordinate the development and integration of the school's technology
Maintain an inventory of all school technology hardware and software and replacement plan.
Provide input and direction for the development, revision and continuous improvement of school's technology
Support all aspects of school instructional and curricular integration of
Assist staff with software
Supervise and coordinate the computer-based teacher evaluation
Counsel with Principal and teachers on matters of school-wide concerns to help in improving
Recommend a budget to the Principal to meet educational objectives and
Attend in professional association meetings and
Serve on school-wide committees as needed.
Keep the Principal fully informed of significant matters pertaining to the administration of the school and consult freely with her concerning such
Perform any other duties assigned by the Principal.
