High performing supervisory position responsible for administration, planning, organizing and directing facilities, aquatics, and operations of multi-faceted, programs and services.
The Recreation Superintendent - Facilities shall:
Provide direction and oversight for facility operations and recreation services within our five recreation centers and aquatics programming
Lead the operations and improvements at recreation facilities to ensure high quality services and exceptional guest services are provided through ongoing evaluation to ensure standards are being met
Provide budget oversight and assist with long range budget needs and revenue expectations through regular and ongoing monitoring
The full salary range for this position is stated above. Starting wages are negotiable and dependent on the qualifications and experience of each individual candidate. The City of Westminster offers a bonus of up to $1,500 per year depending on the employee's fluency in Spanish, Hmong, and/or Laotian.
Education, Experience, Skills, Formal Training, Licenses, and CertificationsRequired:
Graduation from a four year college or university with major work in recreation, parks, business, or closely related field
Five years of progressive technical, supervisory, planning, and administrative experience in parks and recreation
Five years of supervisory experience of both technical and administrative staff
Maintain proficiency in a recreation tracking system (such as RecTrac), in an accounting/budgeting system (such as JD Edwards) and technical software and hardware applications related to position
Valid driver's license and safe driving record
Advanced degree in recreation, business or related field
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience, which would provide the required knowledge and skills, may be considered.
