Poly Prep seeks applicants for a leave replacement Upper School World History Teacher (9th grade) position from September, 2019 to January, 2020. The ideal candidate will possess strong content knowledge in world history; a passion for teaching and learning; enthusiasm for working with students at this age level; flexibility; and a sense of humor. Graduate degree and secondary school teaching experience preferred.
Four classes/sections of 9th Grade World History
Willingness to meet with students on an individual basis as needed
Ability to keep accurate grades, effectively communicate with students and families, and provide written and oral feedback on student progress
Assume role as an advisor for a group of students (8-10)
Attendance at community events as necessary
Attendance and engagement in meetings during and after the school day, including but not limited to: departmental, committee, divisional, and grade-level meetings
