Title:Lower School Spanish Teacher: Kindergarten-Grade 4
Requirements:Master’s Degree or equivalent in teaching and proficiency in Spanish language and instruction
Reports to Lower School Division Head and Head of School
Primary Responsibilities:Classroom instruction in Lower School classrooms; development of curriculum, materials and resources; integration with Lower School curriculum areas and teachers; collaboration with colleagues to design experiences for students
Hours/Classification:Full Time, Exempt

Design, articulate and implement Spanish language program in collaboration with other language instructors K-8
Collaborate with homeroom teachers to integrate language instruction in other curricular areas
Design lessons which model 21st century skills and developmentally appropriate Spanish language acquisition
Identify materials, resources and technology needs for program
Include use of appropriate technology tools and resources for instruction
Create and update web page (s) and blog (s)
Communicate with parents about the program
Attend Grand Rounds for collaborative discussion and sharing of student concerns
Actively participate in faculty meetings, admissions and other school events
Pursue relevant opportunities for professional growth and development
Supervise students in other roles such as recess, lunch, field trips, etc.
Perform other duties consistent with the above responsibilities
