DUTIES: - Provide special education services to preschool children in classroom setting including curriculum development, planning class schedule, formulating IEP goals, tracking progress on IEP goals, supervision of teacher assistants and one-to-one aides. - Provide documentation for quarterly progress notes, turning 5 reports etc. - Liaison wih DOE, attend IEP meetings. - Lead case conferences, follow-up on reccomendations from team. - Meet with families, give updates on child's progress. (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE ABOVE POSITION DESCRIPTION) QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED: Master's degree in special education, NYSED certification in special education or Bachelor's degree on an approved study plan. PREFERRED: Experience with preschool children with disabilities, bilingual Spanish, Haitian Creole.
