Northstar Academy is currently seeking a Technology Teacher for the 2019-20 school year to provide a wide-range of technology courses including basic technology, keyboarding, coding and robotics to students of all ages.
Develop differentiated daily lesson plans that adhere to the curriculum.
Implement curriculum and activities to ensure that their students meet academic benchmarks.
Plans a program of study that, as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students, challenging each them to do their best work
Use academic data to modify both whole and small-group instruction in order to best meet the needs of their students.
Facilitate meaningful and ongoing communication with families and public school providers.
Provide meaningful information to assist with the development and progress monitoring of IEPs. This includes maintaining data as required by student IEP’s and IAP’s.
Co-teach assigned daily Advisory class in which social skills will be taught.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Must hold a valid teaching license in Virginia, Bachelor’s and/or Master’s in Special Education with experience teaching Technology classes.
Excellent attention to detail; organized, with ability to prioritize many tasks.
Professional written and verbal skills.
