Reports to: Director of the Lower School

Primary Responsibilities:

• Teach assigned classroom within a Grade 5 level
• Organize and Complete requests for class field trips and class purchase requests
• Lead/Co-lead Mini Immersion program in January
• Develop and propose new units each year, including new Mini Immersions
• Lead/Co-lead a week long immersion trip to Williamsburg, VA. in May.
• Update Canvas, MVS’ Learning Management Software (LMS), and MyBackpack regularly to keep both students and families informed about student progress,  performance, and news/happenings
• Attend faculty meetings

• Collaborate with the Heads of Department and Academic Team to develop a continuity of curriculum

• Fulfill all other faculty responsibilities that may occur outside the school day, including writing progress reports and planning, attending school-related functions, which include but are not limited to: Parent Information Night (PIN), Parent-Teacher Conferences, Promotion Ceremonies, Graduation
• Attend/ Participate in Monday Assembly and/or Morning Meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned.
