Westside Waldorf School in Pacific Palisades and Santa Monica, California, is offering a full-time Early Childhood (Preschool and Kindergarten) Assistant position for the 2019/2020 school year. This Assistant Teacher will work closely with the lead teachers to help in creating an exceptional Waldorf Early Childhood experience for our classrooms. They will assist in the preparation of each day, engage appropriately with students, maintenance of the classroom, and classroom management and supervision of the students, while taking direction and guidance from the lead teacher regarding the day-to-day responsibilities per the principles of Waldorf Education.
Westside Waldorf School's thriving Early Childhood program includes three kindergarten classes, four nursery classes, and two Parent/Child programs located at two campuses, in addition to our full Grades 1-8 program. Our kindergartens are mixed-age, with four-to-six-year-olds, and class sizes are 15 to 17 children, while our Nurseries range from ages 2.9 years to 4.5 years with up to 12 children in each class.
POSITION DETAILS: 7:45am-3:15pm Monday-Friday with 30-minute lunch.
Position is for 10 months (late-August to mid-June), with potential for renewal annually.
