High School Partnership Program with Rutgers University-Newark. The High School Partnership Program is an initiative of Rutgers University that supports and facilitates school based program activities through college and career readiness, academic enrichment, parent engagement and mentoring.
Starting Date: August 5, 2019 Ending Date: September 20, 2019 Hours per Week: 6
The position will require strong communication skills and collaboration skills. The coordinator will interface with university staff, the school district and other external stakeholders. The scope of influence is still managed through the direction and counsel of senior leadership. Position is responsible for assisting with developing and implementing the strategic plans program in order to promote school-university partnerships.
Organize, implement, promote and manage the University Assisted Partnership mission
Function as the Partnership Coordinator for the High School Partnership between Rutgers University-Newark and West Side HS
Provide leadership and administrative support to assigned faculty and program activities.
Create and facilitate pre-college seminars, academic enrichment and team building activities.
Support all additional program logistic needs
Facilitate collaboration team meetings with school leadership to enrich partnership relationships
The position requires the incumbent to plan and implement program activities. In doing so, he/she will need to identify the services the program can provide and meets with members of the university, community and school for collaborative planning.
Ensures that both the department and the Rutgers Newark campus is seen in a positive image.
Produce plans according to the anticipated design
Minimum Education and Experience:
