The Intensive English Language Institute at the University of North Texas seeks a qualified individual to serve as an EFL instructor at NetDragon Websoft, a partner organization in Fuzhou, China for 10 weeks. NetDragon will employ and pay the instructor directly.
The Intensive English Language Institute (IELI) at the University of North Texas in Denton, TX (30 miles north of Dallas) will conduct a mandatory three to five-day training for the instructor on the UNT campus before departure to China.
The anticipated need is to teach 2 courses (higher beginner and lower intermediate) to young professionals and executives. Each course will require 10 to 12 contact hours per week. The assignment includes curriculum development, student activities, and other activities to support the program.
Airfare, lodging, local transportation, and meals will be provided. The start date will be mid-August to September 1, 2019 (depends on visa). Salary: $3,000-$6,000 (depending if one or two classes)
Master's degree in TESOL or closely related field
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience teaching ESL/EFL
Proven ability to adjust to different cultures and work environment
EFL teaching experience outside of the U.S. preferably in China
Successful experience adapting classroom content to better serve students' needs
Proven ability to adjust to different cultures and work environments.
