The Line Superintendent is a supervisory position responsible for oversight of the construction and maintenance of the Association’s transmission and distribution facilities. Incumbent must be capable of exercising considerable independence of judgment with respect to maintaining reliability of the Association’s power system.
Qualified candidates are required to have four (4) years of college work or equivalent: Additional directly related electrical utility supervisory experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year for year basis.
Qualified candidates are required to have six (6) years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in electrical utility construction, operations, and maintenance
Qualified candidates must have a valid Alaska driver’s license (or ability to obtain as required under State of Alaska regulations) and a driving record, which is acceptable and insurable by the Association and the Association’s insurance carrier at standard group rates.
This position also requires:
Valid First Aid certification
Valid CPR certification
Preference will be given to those candidates with experience in directing, developing, and administering work programs and procedures; preparing management reports and measuring results; current 24-hour hazardous materials training
