Organize and implement rigorous science and math instruction that engages and excites young learners
Plan and lead instruction in math, social studies, science, and other subjects as needed
Differentiate instruction to provide enrichment for more capable students and remediation for students who need additional learning support
Employ a variety of assessment practices to determine student progress levels and adjust instructional programs to assist students in reaching high levels of academic growth
Design curriculum using backward design, organizing instruction around established learning objectives, and the vital importance of planning
Involve parents in the instructional program and create strong home-school communication structures
Displays a personal passion to keep abreast of educational research and effective practice
Goal-oriented with a demonstrated history of establishing and completing professional development goals focused on improving student performance
Works independently with minimum supervision
Is interested in leading or engaging in student programs
Enjoys working and growing with others
Sense of humor
Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education, Math or Science specialization.
Masters degree preferred
Relevant experience in providing stimulating and effective science and math instruction, Guided Math and STEM instruction preferred
Proven track record of assisting students in reaching high levels of academic achievement
