Greens Farms Academy seeks a Lower School Lead Teacher to fill a leave-replacement position from mid-February through early June or some subset of that period; the dates are flexible, and we encourage teachers who are available for only part of that duration to apply. We are interested in candidates who have at least three years of experience; who possess a deep working knowledge of the social, emotional and academic needs of elementary children; who are well versed in the best practices for teaching language arts (literature, reading, writing, listening, and speaking), mathematics and social studies; who emanate joy in working with young people; and who are interested in alternative assessment, differentiated instruction, curriculum design, and innovation. For all positions, we look for candidates who enjoy working with colleagues in a collaborative environment, who are flexible, creative, and organized, who embrace lifelong learning, who will engage fully in the life of the school, and who are committed to fostering an inclusive community. Experience with Singapore Math, the Columbia Reading and Writing Program, Fundations (Wilson), Responsive Classroom, and RULER is preferred.
