Under the direction of the Superintendent, is the Chief Academic Officer. Leads, plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates the academic programs for all schools; has primary authority and accountability for the District’s academic performance; provides leadership, vision, and strategic direction for the District’s curriculum, instruction, assessment, and school support initiatives; oversees professional development in the areas of curriculum, instruction, special education, and student supports and services for certificated staff, classified staff, and administrators. Oversees and supervises the instructional program, curriculum development and alignment, library services, and selection of instructional materials; oversees student services, special education, English Learner services, and other programs; coordinates district-wide assessment program including data analysis; leads, supervises, and supports staff to achieve student achievement objectives.

Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university
