We are seeking a warm, caring, experienced and motivated Kindergarten Head Teacher for family leave coverage from mid-February through the end of the school year.
This Kindergarten class is made up of twenty-two students, and we have three Kindergarten classes which are part of our Preschool program. During a child's Kindergarten experience, we value a balance between encouraging healthy social-emotional and identity development, establishing and deepening connections within the classroom community, and fostering a love of learning through exploration and an introduction to early academic experiences.
Our Preschool program is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach in which we appreciate all aspects of a child's development and encourage children to be at the center of their own learning. A Master's degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education, several years of teaching experience working with young learners, and experience working in the Reggio Emilia philosophy are highly preferred. An ideal candidate must also demonstrate a caring and enthusiastic personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
In addition, Packer’s comprehensive commitment to diversity requires of all faculty members active, thoughtful engagement in work around identity, equity, and inclusion. We actively encourage applications from candidates with broad and diverse backgrounds.
Please send a resume and cover letter to hr@Packer.edu with “Job Posting 120012” in the subject line of the e-mail. To be considered, materials submitted should be titled: “Last Name First Name - Document Title.”
