Holderness School is seeking an Interim Science Teacher for April 1 until June 5, 2020.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Teach four science sections at various grade levels: three sections of 10th/11th grade Chemistry and one section of the elective course, Snow Science: Avalanche Physics.
Supervise a dormitory of 17 girls during evening study hours, two nights a week.
Serve as an advisor for a group of 7 students, providing guidance in academic, extracurricular, social, and personal areas and serve as the school’s key liaison to parents. Participate in weekend duty on two weekends.
Attend faculty meetings, department meetings, and other meetings as required.
Complete grades and comments and other forms of academic communication in a timely, professional manner.
Promote the development of character, community, and curiosity in all dealings with students, including enforcing school rules.
