As the administrative head of the Plant Operations Branch at the Honolulu Board of Water Supply this position has overall responsibility for the installation, repair, maintenance and operation of all mechanical and electrical equipment in the island-wide pumping, chlorinating and treatment plants, shops, offices and other buildings, water distribution structures and yards of the water systems on the island of Oahu; participates in long range planning and budgeting to meet future operational needs; and performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualification Requirement:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college of university with a bachelor's degree in business or public administration, engineering or a related field.

Substitution: Work experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis. Such experience must have provided the knowledge, skills, and analytical ability normally gained from attainment of a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Three years of responsible supervisory or program experience relating to the design, installation, operation and/or maintenance of major pumping plants or similar facilities and systems.
License Requirement: Valid Hawaii State driver's license (Type 3) prior to appointment.
