`Iolani School seeks a full-time Upper School Hawaiian Language teacher starting in the 2020-2021 school year.
In addition to being active participants in our vibrant learning community, we are looking for educators who will inspire and support our students. The ideal candidate is dynamic, a strong communicator (both written and oral) and committed to professional growth in their discipline and teaching practice.
Candidates should have experience teaching introductory Hawaiian up to advanced level Hawaiian. A degree in Hawaiian language is required. Candidates either working toward or have already earned an advanced degree in Hawaiian language are preferred. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate native or near-native competency in Hawaiian and be comfortable designing and executing curriculum as part of a teaching team while embracing the use of instructional technology.
'Iolani School has many extracurricular opportunities available for those looking to extend their work beyond the classroom, including, but not limited to: participation in our residential life program, coaching athletic and/or academic student teams, and serving as an adviser in our advisory program.
